Commissioned and premiered by the Mikhailovsky Theatre, The Bronze Idol is an evening-length narrative ballet based onThe Bronze Horseman by Alexander Pushkin. The work is set to an adaptation and re-orchestration of Reinhold Gliere’s Third Symphony by Jesse Limbacher, with choreography by Lar Labovitch.
